Iranzu Monastery is one of the heritage pillars of Navarre and a notable example of Cistercian Romanesque architecture. The medieval buildings include the base of the church, the cloister, the chapter house, the punishment cells, the parlour, and the kitchen, with the remainder reflecting successive renovations from the 16th and 17th centuries.
After the Mendizábal confiscation, the monastery fell into abandonment and was eventually declared in ruins. Restoration began in 1942, and it is now in very good condition, surrounded by mountains and beautiful natural landscapes.
Visitors can explore Iranzu Monastery freely or through guided tours.
